Insight

The world is facing the influences and impacts of climate change on the environment. Not only are 25% of the diseases and related deaths in the world related to global warming, air pollution claims 90 million lives every year. Also, by 2025, half of the world’s population will be living in water-deficient areas. By 2030, there will be over 100 million more people living in extreme poverty. Focusing back onto Taiwan, agricultural losses caused by global warming continued to climb over the past five years, reach as high as TWD 13.5 billion. By 2050, as many as 1.2 million people in Taiwan will be affected by the rising sea levels.

Vision

In pursuit of net-zero emissions and to protect the planet we live on, Taiwan, Asia, and the world are proactively launching an energy revolution to transition from traditional energy to clean energy, which will continue for at least another three to four decades. With a mission of energy autonomy, ARE’s vision is to provide stable and affordable renewable energy supplies before 2050, while also transitioning towards net-zero emissions, and provide cost-effective and economic ways of production to realize clean, proactive, and flexible green energy economy.

Action

Based on Red Blades Windtek Holdings' manufacturing capability in the upstream of the wind power industry accumulated over the past decade, as well as the grasp on the development trends of offshore wind power in Taiwan and the world, ARE quickly formed Taiya Renewable Energy and High Tien Offshore in 2021 to seize the opportunity at onset of the development of offshore wind zonal development, delving into offshore wind farm tendering and development, and deploying in marine engineering. As a local developer of Taiwan, ARE hopes to contribute to lowering the risks of the government’s targets and the industry chain, and support the ideal of diversified and localized supply of green energy.
